Whitney Quillen was the founder and CEO of W. Quillen Securities, a FINRA-member investment bank, established in 2001 and sold in March 2009. Prior to founding W. Quillen Securities, Whitney was affiliated with Quilcap Corp., initially as outside counsel, and from 2000 to 2002 as in-house counsel and equity analyst. Quilcap Corp. is a long-short, value-oriented hedge fund.
From 1994 to 2000, Whitney ran his own law practice, focusing on commercial litigation, distressed debt resolution, and securities regulation. He has also served as chairman, legal counsel, and member of various creditors’ committees in bankruptcy proceedings.

Steve began his career in the financial markets in 1982 at Dean Witter, Morgan Stanley in San Francisco. In 1989, he moved to New York City, where he spent 10 years at Monness, Crespi, Hardt & Co., working in both research sales and as Head of the Technical Research Department.

He also held sales and trading positions at Ledgemont Capital and Elevation LLC in New York City. For 10 years, Stephen was a General Partner and Chief Investment Officer at Greene Street Partners LP, a New York-based hedge fund. He received his BA from the University of California at Berkeley.
